Fred Hogshead is a longtime Bluffton resident and South Carolina native. He is married to his wife, Amanda, a teacher at Okatie Elementary school. They have 2 daughters, Aubrey and Langley Ruth (LR). Fred and his wife grew up in Columbia and both attended Winthrop University where they met. They have enjoyed living in Pinecrest for many years but recently moved out to Chechessee Bluff, close to Callawassie Island.
Professionally, Fred has spent the past 20 years in some form of electrical sales, sales management, and general management roles. His focus and expertise were in residential and commercial construction with a territory ranging from Brunswick, GA up the coast to Charleston, SC.
Life is very fulfilling with his daughters involved in school sports and competitive cheer. But in their free time, they love to be on the river with family and friends. Golf has taken a back seat to other activities but is still a passion of Fred's. They attend Lowcountry Community Church where Fred is involved with the 6th-grade youth group as well as the cook team.
"We could not have asked for a better realtor. Even living four hours away during the time of the home being built, Fred would always make sure that we were updated. When the military decides to move us again, we will definitely be calling Fred to sell! Thank you for helping us buy our first home! We appreciate your guidance and wisdom."

"Fred Hogshead and the Collins Group Realty team were just great in helping me sell my Bluffton home. I counted on Fred to oversee the process of getting my home ready for sale and he did an outstanding job. We had an amazing number of folks tour the house and in a short time received a full-price offer. The closing process was seamless as well. Can't say enough about how much I appreciate the knowledge and professionalism Fred and the team brought to the transaction. Fred would be my go-to guy for any real estate transactions in the area.”
