Hilton Head Area Airports

There are a few options when traveling to and from Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Beaufort, SC and surrounding areas via air travel.

The expansion of the Hilton Head Island Airport runway in 2019 brought major airliners and popular direct flights to the Island. The airport is centrally located on Hilton Head, with one commercial terminal and a single baggage claim. This airport makes traveling a breeze – avoid long lines to check-in and get through security.

The closest international airport, with the greatest option of flights, is still the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, just 30 minutes from Bluffton, SC. The airport embodies Southern hospitality with rocking chairs and Savannah-inspired architecture. While larger than the Hilton Head Airport, parking is easy, and there is only one commercial terminal for all flights.
