Chip Collins is the Owner/Broker-In-Charge of Collins Group Realty, but he’s also our fearless leader. He has a tremendous heart for our team, clients and the community. Collins Group Realty is celebrating 15 years of real estate success that survived the downturn of the market, without a single layoff, under Chip’s leadership. Since 2002 the success of the company has come from working hard to achieve RESULTS® oriented client satisfaction every day….24/7. Chip is innovative, forward thinking and tech-savvy – always making sure the Group is utilizing the latest and best technology and marketing. One of Chip’s out-of-the-box ideas came in the form of a box truck (no pun intended)…or as we call it – The Community Vehicle. Besides loaning it out on a regular basis for non-profits, schools, charitable organizations and clients, we also get together twice a year for our annual Food and Toy Drives and fill the truck with donated items to support Deep Well and Bluffton Self Help.
But I bet you’re dying to get to the good stuff… Here’s a little insight into Chip’s faves!
Favorite restaurant in the Lowcountry? Anything that touches the outside is always our favorite – sitting outside at the newer Coast restaurant in Sea Pines, sitting fireside at Santa Fe Café, sitting curbside at Market Street Café in Coligny..the list goes on and on.
Favorite local, small business? As someone who started CGR from scratch, I’m an admirer of so many small businesses and entrepreneurs – way too many to list here, and certainly many of them could be named my “favorite.”
Favorite “tourist” spot to go? We try to hang out at the Sea Pines Beach Club whenever we find time – it’s a great place to people-watch.
Favorite “local” spot to go? Just because it is SO tucked away/hidden – Sage Room, it always feels like a locals’ secret.
What book(s) are you reading right now, besides our Staff Bookclub book? Go Givers Sell More by Bob Burg & John David Mann
What hobby are you most passionate/excited about? What do you love most about it? After dialing back recently on marathons and distance races, I’ve enjoyed 2-3 hour super-early-in-the-morning walks on the beach with our King Charles Cavalier “Rue.” She very well could love the beach more than ANY creature I’ve known….
I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Chip a little better in this week’s Agent/Broker Spotlight. You can follow our blog…we post weekly – every Friday right here. We publish an assortment of thoughts, announcements or helpful information written by various authors within our team. Enjoy!
