Whether you’re an avid “canner,” someone who values supporting local farmers, or just like to get out of the house and experience new tastes and places, then you should get to know the many farmer’s markets throughout the Lowcountry.  Each brings something different to the market: u-pick produce, prepared foods like loaves of bread and fresh pasta, or crafts by local artisans. You’re sure to find something that piques your interest.

Dempsey Farms

Port Royal Farmer’s Market

Saturday’s 9 am – 12 pm year round, rain or shine

Items for sale: SC Produce, Seafood, Beef, Eggs, Bread, BBQ, Cheese, Honey, Plants, Food Vendors, Wildflowers, Nature Display (Owls), Same vendors as Bluffton

Location: In Heritage Park on Ribaut Road by Naval Hospital, Take 278 to 170N. Go 14.5 miles over Broad River and turn right onto Savannah Hwy/SC 802 towards Port Royal. Continue on 802/Ribaut Rd past Parris Island, over bridge and end at Heritage Park about 1 mile after the bridge on right.


Hilton Head Farmer’s Market

Tuesday’s 9 am to 1 pm, year round, rain or shine

Wednesday’s 2 pm to 6 pm

Items for sale:  Fresh local produce, plants, artisans, home baked and canned foods, crafts and more

Friday’s 11:30 am to 5 pm, and Saturday’s 8 am to 1:30 pm from April thru December
