Watch this heartwarming video about the Toy Drive
Collins Group Realty, in partnership with the Hampton Hall Charitable Fund, conducted their Annual Toy Drive in Hampton Hall on Saturday, December 8, in what resulted in a record-breaking collection for Bluffton Self Help.
The real estate company and non-profit organization team up year after year for this community-wide charitable event – from distributing flyers and donation bags door to door to collecting toys placed alongside mailboxes with the Collins Group Realty Community Vehicle.
“This team of caring people (along with their family members that came along too) never cease to amaze and inspire with their generosity and commitment to the community! They didn’t collect and deliver 500 or even 1,000 toys to Bluffton Self Help…The total was over 1,200 toys! What a huge impact that will have on the estimated 1,800 children that will benefit from BSH’s program to make this a special and memorable holiday year once again!” – Chip Collins, Owner / Broker-in-Charge of Collins Group Realty
The Hampton Hall Charitable Fund is a non-profit organization with nine board members that are involved in several charitable projects throughout the year. In the holiday season, their efforts turn towards organizing the Toy Drive to help Bluffton Self Help.
“We think it is really important to give back to our greater Bluffton Community. Our community is very generous both in helping to organize and in buying toys for children in need.” Joanne Gatti-Petito, Board Member of Hampton Hall Charitable Fund
“It’s our hope that people who see the Hampton Hall Charitable Fund [working] will become engaged in some fashion, either through their time or charitable contributions so that we continue the work throughout the year.” Ronnie Reaves, Board Member of Hampton Hall Charitable Fund
Bluffton Self Help collects toys donated from many community partners and local organizations each year for their Holiday Toy Shop. Toys are sorted by BSH volunteers and the building is transformed into a toy shop not unlike what one might expect the North Pole to look like.
Beginning December 15th, parents in need can come “shop” for gifts for their children. Being able to put presents under the tree, when they might not have been able to otherwise, is the true meaning of joy and the spirit of the season.
“My hats off and deepest gratitude to the homeowners and residents of Hampton Hall for making this a record year for toy donations!!” – Chip Collins
