Lowcountry Living – Celebrating an Abundance of Wildlife

One of the more unique features of living in the Lowcountry is the ability to see wildlife while simply going about your daily run, bike ride, or simply relaxing on your back porch. In addition to the abundance of birds, squirrels and geckos we’re constantly spotting deer, rabbits, turtles, snakes and alligators – right within the confines of our own neighborhoods. Once you venture out, the possibilities for wildlife viewing are limitless – Bill Weis, our senior Bluffton Specialist, was even fortunate enough to cross paths with a bobcat while on a Memorial Day bike ride through beautiful Palmetto Bluff (According to the fine folks at PB Security, the critter is just one of two that’s making its home in the woods on the Bluff.) and a visit to the beach is also rarely without at least one pod of dolphin swimming past or a cute crab meandering about. Our mainland crew even saw this gorgeous Luna Moth right outside the Bluffton office yesterday morning:

While you’re out and about, be sure to keep your eyes and ears open…you never know what you’ll see!
