Lowcountry Living – Independence Day Events

Here are all the details on where to catch fireworks and celebrate Independence Day on Hilton Head Island…

Harbour Town – Sea Pines/South End

In addition to fireworks (starting around 9:15) Harbour Town’s Independence Day celebration will include a parade starting at 9:30, activities for the kids, live music by Greg Russell at 8pm, delicious food and cold beverages.

Shelter Cove Harbour – Mid Island

Shelter Cove Harbour’s celebration will offers patriotic music performed by Shannon Tanner at 6:30 and 8:00 pm and a fireworks display beginning around dusk.

Shelter Cove Park – Mid Island

The Island Rec Center will hold a Water Fun Day and Summer Jams event at Shelter Cove Park from 7-10 pm. Water Fun Day (from 4-7pm) features water rides and games for kids. Admission is $5 for children (parents/grandparents are free) and includes as many rides as the kids can enjoy! Summer Jams will start at 7pm and will include live music, games, a kid zone, great food and of course great views of the fireworks display over Shelter Cove Harbour. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Island Rec Center’s Children’s Scholarship Fund.

 Skull Creek – North End

Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks, Chart House and the Skull Creek Boathouse will feature live, outside entertainment beginning at 6:00 pm. Fireworks will be launched from a barge in the Intracoastal Waterway starting at 9:30 pm.
