Lowcountry Trash Heroes’ Efforts Bolstered by Collins Group Realty

Collins Group Realty’s 2022 Community Results Project (CRP) has partnered with Lowcountry Trash Heroes to promote stewardship for the rivers, marshes, beaches, ocean, and land. In addition to organizing litter sweeps of their own, the CRP has helped craft an identity for the local grass roots cleanup crew with a new logo, promotional video, volunteer t-shirts, and literature for how to organize a litter sweep.

Each year the real estate company’s charitable arm seeks to partner with an existing 501(c)(3) to drive programs, events, and fundraising, using Collins Group Realty’s platform of community service, to bolster community well-being, local non-profit organizations, and their efforts. In 2022, their focus is helping preserve the beauty and well-being of the Lowcountry’s natural resources.

“With free supplies and just a little effort to organize a group, an hour spent doing a litter sweep can make a huge difference in our community. Our goal is to help spread the word about Lowcountry Trash Heroes and how easy it is for others to organize their own clean-up events.”

Lowcountry Trash Heroes

With a recent generous donation of funds enabled Collins Group Realty to order t-shirts for the Lowcountry Trash Hero volunteers. They’ve also created a “Trash Sweep Starter Kit” available to anyone who wishes to create their own sub-group with family or friends.

The Lowcountry Trash Heroes is a modest non-profit organization run solely by a few local volunteers. Litter sweeps vary and are based on areas of need as identified by the group. Opportunities to volunteer for cleanup events can be found on Lowcountry Trash Hero Facebook page. Local students requiring volunteer hours are encouraged to attend cleanup events.
