NEW Drop Off Electronic Recycling & Shredding in 2026

Beaufort County is now offering E-Waste Recycling Drop Off by appointment!

After the Final Electronics Recycling Event on May 16th, ALL electronics recycling will be done by scheduling a DROP OFF at your convenience at either the Bluffton Site (9 Benton Field Road) or Beaufort Site (106 Shanklin Road).

FINAL Electronics (E-waste) Recycling Event for 2026

Any personal computers, laptops, CRT monitors, LCD monitors, CRT televisions, printers, hard drives and miscellaneous electronics (microwaves, lamps, cell phones, radios, fax machines, typewriters, etc.) will be accepted.

Reminder: Household items  NOT accepted at this event include microwaves, vacuums, stereos, speakers, tuners, VCRs, DVDs, lamps, keyboards, cords, computer mouse, sound bars, etc. These can be taken to the Convenience Centers for disposal and will not be unloaded at the event.

Document Shredding Events

Note the different locations. 2 Box Limit (box size approximately 10” x 12” x 15”)
Accepted documents: Bank statements, tax documents, medical records, credit card receipts, and any other documents that contain personal information.
Restrictions: Binders, hard devices, folders, and non-paper items.
