WEEKLY MARKET PULSE
by Chris Sanders, Client Market Advisor
July 21, 2015

Collins Group Realty is pleased to provide you with this week’s edition of Market Pulse; a quick overview identifying a few of the local real estate “highlights”, in an effort to bring your attention to some of what specifically hit our radar last week…

HOTSHEET SUMMARY FROM LAST WEEK:

LISTINGS: 102 listings were added to our local markets last week.

CONTRACTS: 127 residential properties moved to pending or contingent status.

CLOSED SALES: 99 closed sales were reported last week.

Last week was the fourth consecutive week that the number of pending sales (127) outpaced the number of new and re-introduced listings (102).  This is a very positive trend that we are beginning to see in our marketplace.  Prior to these past four weeks, there had only been one week of 2015 where the number of pending sales exceeded the number of new listings.

  • There was a good representation of pending sales activity throughout most of Hilton Head last week, with contracts being written in 86% of the “areas” of the island (as classified in the MLS).

  • Almost 10% of the pending home sales last week went under contract in the same week they were listed for sale. This rapid fire activity took place specifically in the Sea Pines, Heritage Lakes, Lawton Station, Palmetto Bluff, Knowles Island and Sun City markets.

As always, thank you for choosing Collins Group Realty as your local real estate resource. Our team of professionals is available for you 24/7, and we are always honored and appreciative when we receive your referrals.

Please call us anytime we can be of service or research a specific property or area just for YOU!
