Happy Spring!
Along with sunny blue skies and all the beauty of Spring, I am pleased to present some very positive data about the greater Hilton Head Island marketplace.
Of particular note, year-to-date Pending sales are up a whopping 32% over the same period in 2010!! This is an essential and exciting step toward market recovery, demonstrating buyer confidence across a broad-range of properties, areas and price-ranges!
Market strength comes as a result of high demand and low supply, so it is also encouraging to see that the rate of new listings (additions to the inventory) is down over 9% year-to-date as compared to 2010. We are not anywhere near a seller’s market as of yet…but that is clearly the light at the end of the tunnel that we are all looking to return to. Stay tuned…
